For Anyone Who Wants to Know Me Better
So starting off, you already know my name and you know that I am moving which are the two main important things. So I am 13 years old and I am in high school in Canada. My favourite food is sushi (good for me because well... Japan) and I play soccer, do sailing and go skiing. I really have a true love for cheese and food in general, so Japan should provide me with some interesting choices. I am a very artistic person and I'm creative which also causes me to be goofy and the occasional crazy thought that confuses everyone. I probably come off as shy until I feel comfortable or get to know you. I love to read (WOOO) but I am a sucker for love in tv series and films. I am into 'Downton Abbey' and I'm loving 'Once Upon A Time' right now. OHHH but Supernatural is my love as well, and Grey's Anatomy... Oh too many!
Now that know a tad bit more about me, here is more about my Japan situation:
So, I have started grade 9 in high school. I go to a private all girls school in Montreal, Canada and I really love my country. Canada is great because poutine and... Well other things! (There's obviously tons of things I could say but I'll leave that job to Google since it usually does a pretty good job.) And then, my parents got jobs in Japan, and with their contracts, we decided to move there for two years. I was shocked. I was very devastated. I wallowed in my sorrows. After all, it's hard to just pack up and GO. To leave everything behind me.
I leave in the smack middle of October and I am very scared. What will I learn and how will it be different from here? Will I be able to adjust to a completely new school? Will I see my friends again? Do they have dogs there? DOES JAPAN HAVE DOGS?!
So I'm obviously asking the important questions, but I still do not know what will happen or what really to expect, despite the many answers I receive. But there's beauty in that too. Not knowing what exactly the future holds. The landmarks and history of Japan are very interesting and I hope that soon I'll get over my fears and just enjoy it. I also truly wish that you, my audience, can come along with me and just see my epic failures and my wild journey through my not-so-lengthy-but-still-lenghty stay in Japan.
Thank you very much!! Talk soon,
-Olivia
